For the Love of the Game
Based in the greater Rochester, NY area, I have been training athletes since 2004. I am extremely passionate about being active, healthy and developing the proper techniques. But I’m also extremely passionate about the game and ready to help my clients improve theirs. I’ve been told I’m tough but understanding, and I give each player the individual guidance they need to exceed their potential.
The youngest of three college All Americans, and three former professional lacrosse players, former head coach at the University of Miami and Georgia Southern University, I have been playing and coaching lacrosse for over 30 years, and combined my lacrosse knowledge and experience with a sports performance training certification and created Double A Lacrosse. I have the experience to take an All American mindset and put it towards training to become the best athlete on the field.

"Aaron has worked with our son James (Modified level player) for the past six months. We debated private lessons before deciding to try a few and decide whether to continue. It was an easy decision to continue as we saw results right away. While Aaron has all the requisite lacrosse expertise as a player and coach, he has an incredible ability to teach. He starts the session by working the student hard to simulate the fatigue of a game situation. Next he is able to break the fundamental movements down in a way the student is able to understand and replicate whether it’s passing, catching, shooting, defensive positioning or off-ball movement. Aaron also communicates well with the parent to explain things the parent can watch for in practice or game situation to monitor improvement and the adoption of the fundamental movements. While we saw improvement in easy to measure metrics such as shot speed with either hand, we were happy to see noticeable improvement in his overall game such as accuracy in his passing, aggressiveness, forcing the defense to work, keeping his head up, and moving without the ball.
A big question for parents is whether private lessons are more cost effective than other training options such as camps or club lacrosse. While camps and club lacrosse have their place, we found that an hour with Aaron was much more beneficial than multiple hours in other formats.
Having seen Aaron work with both offensive and defensive players, we have no hesitancy in recommending him."
